It was a Great match today, but again Garstang were on the wrong side of the score at the full time whistle. This did not reflect the quality of our play, especially in the 2nd half.

During this half we outplayed our opposition across the pitch, resulting in several bonafide, but sadly, unconverted shots. Personally, I’m gutted as I missed 3 of them; the excellent hockey skills that put me in that position deserved better. Though for the record I wasn’t the only one to miss the goal, was I DG? One thing to say this week to was the welcome return of Veteran Tommo - it was really good to see him back on the pitch after an injury over the summer/pre-season had side-lined him.

There really was a plethora of potential MoM’s today including Eoin, again, scoring his first goal, and along with Oscar working hard in the middle of the pitch. Wade stepping in to Finlay’s place on the left wing. Lachy is beginning to show some discipline with his positional play, which is good to see. Keep that up and you will end up bossing the middle of the pitch.

Two top dogs this week were Flynn (2nd week running) his play up the left in the 2nd half was awesome, setting me up twice as he did. We are witnessing a young player growing as a player and a young man ??. But by a whisker, this weeks MoM is our newest debutant, only just eligible on age for development selection, Robin really was very impressive with his defensive work today. Well done young man, very impressive.

A real shame we couldn’t convert those chances, we definitely deserved it.
