Officially our kick start to the season where ALL members of the Club (Ladies 1st-4ths, Mens 1sts, Back2Hockey, Juniors) come together for a fun day. An excuse to dust those shin pads down, catch up and just have some fun.

We'll be opening our doors to prospective members and 10am - 1pm will be dedicated to anybody who would just like to come and give the sport (and us) a go and perhaps join one of our teams or weekly sessions...... so come on down and you're welcome to stay on and watch our teams in action in pre season friendlies.

SCHEDULE (so far)
The pitch will be divided in to three sections

10am - 1pm:

Pitch 1 - Juniors (anyone U13) - games
Pitch 2 - 3rd & 4th team - games
Pitch 3 - 'Have a Go' / Skillzone including our new Hockeyfest bedecked target game

All Club Members (1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, Mens & Back2Hockey) are encouraged to come along to support this session and to take part in challenges which will be set up, including a brand new 'HockeyFest' target practice and have a general knockabout and mingle with fellow club members.

11am - Bake Off judging
11:30 - 12 noon Parents v Kids game

Last year was extra special as this event marked the official opening of the pitch by GB Hockey Double Olympic Medallist, Hannah MacLeod and we were also chosen by England Hockey as their Spotlight Club for the North West! After a lovely warm summer, the weather was not kind as we had torrential rain for much of it but we were able to get on the pitch with Hannah, hold a BBQ (courtesy of brave Brendan) and have a Bake Off where we award a Star Baker!

This year, refreshments will be available and as it's Great British Bake Off season, we will again be holding our own annual Bake Off.... so people, start baking and enter your star turn. Just bring along on the day..... a trophy is at stake..... will it be yours this year???
