We are delighted to announce that GHC will be hosting their summer games session across the summer months - every Thursday, starting next week on April 25th!

Last summer we facilitated a sticks and tricks session that 90% of the time, ended in a game so this year we are offering the opportunity for anyone to come down and enjoy a fun and friendly game of hockey, regardless of who they usually play for. We hope to see some familiar faces as they return home for their summer holidays from uni too! You all know by now that everyone is welcome down at GHC.

The sessions are open to anyone aged 8 and above (no GHC membership required) with a senior session for 13+ too. Simply turn up and play (NB the usual safety rules still apply so don't forget your shin pads and mouth guards etc.). Usual hockey rules apply and due to the fun and informal nature of the games we do ask that players have a good understanding of the rules (see the England Hockey hub for details).

Teams will be allocated equally with whoever turns up (please arrive on time) - it might be 11-a-side or 6 or 7 a side depending on the number of players turning up each week. Listen carefully at the start of the session for some adaptations to the usual 11-a-side rules when needed and don't forget to have some fun!
